In the spring of 2006 Hearts of Hope, Inc. chose to partner with Chaucie’s Place, another Hamilton County Charitable Organization, which has the same values and dedication as Hearts of Hope.
Our partnership will consist of many roles with Chaucie’s Place, but the main role will be sponsoring the Build A Bear Program. Build A Bear began at Chaucie’s Place in 2000 and the program has grown right along with Chaucie’s Place. In 2001 Chaucie’s Place interviewed 108 children and in 2008 they interviewed well over 300 children. Each child interviewed is offered the opportunity to choose their own bear to keep with them forever. For these children this is a comforting token and any comforts we can provide at this time for these children is worth the effort. Below you will find the mission statement and the link to Chaucie’s Place website. There is also a form to complete if you or your organization is interested in volunteering your time to build bears for the children of Chaucie’s Place.
Chaucie’s Place Mission
Chaucie’s Place is in Hamilton County to provide a neutral, child-friendly, home-like environment where a single, comprehensive investigative interview can take place with cases of alleged child abuse and neglect. The center aims to reduce the trauma to the child, while improving the quality of evidence gathered to quickly and efficiently resolve these cases through the use of a multi-disciplinary team and certified forensic interviewers.
